BEFORE YOU SEAT ANYONE
Four quiet rules for a good table
- Seat the hosts first. Put them where they can see the room and reach the kitchen or the toasts.
- Mix, but give everyone one familiar face. A guest who knows one neighbor settles in faster.
- Think about ears and exits. Place older guests away from speakers, and parents of young children near a door.
- Leave one flexible seat. A late yes or a plus-one is easier with a spare chair already planned.

COMMON QUESTIONS
How many guests fit at a round or long table?
A 60-inch round table seats six to eight. A 72-inch round seats eight to ten at home, or up to twelve at an event. A 6-foot rectangular table seats six, or eight with a guest at each end. Allow about 24 inches of table edge for each place setting.
Is my seating plan saved?
Yes, on this device. The plan is stored in this browser as you work, so you can close the page and return. It is not uploaded or shared. Clearing your browser data or using a private window removes it.
How do I print place cards?
Open Place cards, choose a style and add an optional event line, then choose Print cards. Each card prints 3.5 by 4 inches with a dashed fold line. The name also prints upside down on the top half, so it reads from both sides of the table once folded.
