Leave room for the jobs you will repeat
The kit occupies about 16 × 15 inches (41 × 39 cm), but that is only the tank footprint. Leave room above to open the lid and around the setup to remove equipment, carry a bucket and reach the filter. Test those movements in the real corner before you order.
Position the setup away from direct sun and heating sources. Follow the equipment manuals for drip loops and disconnection before maintenance. An imported heater or pump needs the correct local electrical rating; a plug adapter alone does not establish compatibility.
Separate included equipment from additional purchases
The selected Flex kit already includes filtration and lighting, so our list does not add a second filter or lamp. A heater, thermometer, freshwater test kit, conditioner and siphon cover different care tasks. Heater choice depends on the intended species and room temperature.

Cycle first and choose livestock for the habitat
A fishless cycle establishes the bacteria needed to process waste without using live fish to start the tank. Follow a complete cycling protocol and test the water; simply running a filter for a day or having clear water does not prove the cycle is established.
Choose animals by adult size, social needs and compatible water conditions after the tank is ready. This small display is not suitable for every species.
